Nature vs. Nurture

When we want to talk about the differences between men and women we have to observe a lot of things, not just in our bodies or in our biological aspect, we also have to consider the society in which we live, the people who is by our sides, their own behavior, their perspective to see the life. Also we have to have a trip into our past, because the way in which we were brought up has a lot of influence in our actual life.

If we travel some years in the past we are going to see that people was really different, there was a big and notorious line between both genders. Almost all the men have to be working to sustain their family also they had to be very polite with the women, but without lose their authority. They would do anything to change the mind of someone who thinks they are weak, because the masculinity was a really serious topic, the people can not play with that. Almost every man had a decent job, they would think a lot in their futures and in the destiny of their family, but sometimes the equality wasn’t there when they need it, so some of them started to think about doing bad activities. They also were so into politics, because they thought that the women weren’t cleaver enough to manage something like a work or politic situation. If we talk about the way of clothing, the man could never wear pink, because they thought that it is a color just for women. They had the control in their houses, everyone would do what the father or husband says, even if he didn’t have all the reason.

The woman in that time were so delicate and submissive, or at least that was their appearance, they can not wear men clothes like jeans, or they cannot show some parts of their bodies because it was a sin for the church. Also they were really into the religion and they tried always to be a “good wife”, they supposed to do everything that the husband wanted, but sometimes the men abused of them. They were so weak if we are talking of taking decisions, but not because their capacity of thing, it was because the men did not wanted them to control them. Their assigned job was the house, they had to be all the time working in house chores and taking care of the children. They cannot have a career, because it was “unnecessary” for them, they had to learn how to do the entire house job since they were little girls because if they practice more the experience would be improving until they get ready to put into practice.

A few years later the women started to thing about the gender equality, they were so tired about men who treated them so bad, they cannot opine anything, anyone care about their thoughts. They started to form groups to be stronger, and they reach some goals, so their lives started to improve.

In the actuality there is still being difference between the genders, but I’m sure that some of those things are unchangeable, simply because not everything depends on the nurture, we have to be sure of include the nature in our viewpoint.

There are some aspects in our life that are unchangeable because our biology characters and they strongly affect our social life, personal life, health, and behavior among other things. This happen because the chemicals inside our bodies. Something that also have a lot of influence in our life is our offspring, we can not change our characteristics as easy as we think, we have to have some medical interference to can change something physically, sometimes we can not even change our emotionally aspect by ourselves, we also need some medical help but this is not necessary in some occasions.

In my opinion our feelings and our life experiences are playing such an important paper in our behavior; like if we want to play some game but if we feel insecure because we already had a bad experience in our past we are going to behave uncertain about the situation, but if we change this to a person who is so good at the sport and has been practicing it since he or she was little is going to be so confident in the match and will have better results than the other person.
