Not the best birthday...

It was a beautiful sunny day in a ranch named “El Buitre”, everyone was so happy because it was the birthday of the owner’s son. There were family, friends and the people who helped the owner in his ranch; it was a really big party. All the little kids were playing and horse back riding, while the adults where making the food for them and talking about their business and daily lives. But there was a little problem, the owner’s son, whose name was Margil was so sad, and nobody knew why, suddenly he started to run so fast into the pecan orchard, and his father seemed  worried about him because everybody was having fun except the little boy. He said to the other people to excuse him for a moment because he wanted to check what was happening with his son. He started to walk in the same direction as Margil, but he couldn’t find him, that was so weird because this little boy never hid from his parents. When he thought that it was so difficult to find him, he started to shout his name, but nobody answered him.

Suddenly he found Margil; he was so calm because he knew where his son was. But all this calm disappeared and turned into horror when he discovered that the kid was unconscious because he was bitten by a snake. His father didn’t know what to do, so the first thing that came to his mind was to take the boy and run back to the house of the ranch, where were all the people. When he got there everyone entered in panic, but the mother of the boy started to extract the venom with her mouth, hopefully this was going to keep the boy alive for a few more hours. Without loosing their time Margil’s parents put him in the truck and took him to the nearest hospital, but it wasn’t so close, the distance between the ranch and the village where the hospital was located was about 20 minutes, so they started to speed up, they were so scared, one kilometer seemed to be like a thousand. The boy was going worse, but his parents were talking to him, they were telling him that he had to resist, that he could not give up, but the little boy couldn’t hear them because he was in a deep dream.

Finally they arrived to the hospital, and the doctors were looking for the correct antidote. When they applied it to Margil, he didn’t react. His parents were hopeless because the kid still in the same state. But after two minutes, the boy started to give some recovery signals, he was responding well to the antidote. Everyone was praying and thanking God for the miracle.

He started his recover and everything was fine. The boy could get out of the hospital 3 days latter and he gets back to his normal life, but he never went in to the orchard without the necessary protection again.
