Interpretation of a Dream

Everyone can dream, but not all people can remember their dreams. Sometimes we can wake up and remember all of our dream that we had that night, but sometimes we just open our eyes and suddenly every detail of last nights dream disappear and even if we try to remember what it was about its harder to recollect images about it. Some dreams are about the thing that we did the last day, week or month or sometimes about something weird or imaginary. We can dream about everything! We just have to have an active mind to dream. If we have goals, fears, feelings or memory, our dreams are going to be about those things.

I am too scared with all the insecurity in my country, and once I had a dream about it. In my dream I was leaving Saltillo, the city where my grandparents live, and I was with all my family we were on our way to Zaragoza, the city where I live, suddenly I was with my uncle and my aunt in the car, and we arrived to my house, but we saw a lot of cars parked outside my house, but the cars were so expensive like the cars that the men who traffic drugs have. We were too scared because there were close to 20 cars outside my house. Then my dad and my uncle went inside of my house and they told us that they were going back with us to tell us that no one was inside of my house, but we were waiting for them for 15 minutes and they didn’t come back outside of my house. So I was only with women, my mom, my aunt and my 2 sisters and we were all so scared because we were alone there and my dad and my uncle didn’t answer to our screams. Then my mom and I decided to go into the house, when we were walking through the living room we saw 2 men walking in the kitchen we tried to run outside the house again but another man trapped my mom and I ran and ran and ran and finally I was out of my house, then I told my aunt and my sisters what was happening and they decided to enter with me, we were trying to find my mom, my dad and my uncle, but when we were looking for them then man trapped my aunt too! So my sisters and I ran fast and we locked up the door of my parent’s room. We could hear all the screams outside and we were crying a lot because we could imagine what they were doing to my family.

When I woke up I could remember the entire dream but that wasn’t a great sensation because I was even more afraid of the situation.

I think the meaning of my dream is that my country is living a hard situation with all that insecurity and maybe all the citizens can live everything is happening, I think we are all exposed to the crime and I am afraid of that can happen to me and all the people that I love.

My Dream Job

We have a lot of options to choose a job, and that is because the world needs a lot of people who can work all the things that arise everyday, nowadays we have a lot of necessity and they are rising because the population in the earth is rising too, so we are trying to adapt our life to the things that are happening in the actuality.

In a personal opinion, I think we have to make things that can help our world or our society, so I am always trying to do nice things and we have to always try to do our best to get better than yesterday.

I always have been thinking about what am I going to do when I grow up? Or what do I have to do to have a nice life but give a nice life to someone too? So I start to plan my life. When I was 7 years old I could imagine myself in 10 years, and that was awesome, that was like if I could see my future. But that image about me changes completely when I was 16, because I finished high school, and now I have more experience and I have been trying a lot of new things. So I change my mind, now I know that the idea that you have about your life in the elementary school is easier than the idea that you have in the high school, we have to be realistic and at the same time ambitious and driven.

I have an expectation about my future; I would really like to be a biotechnologist engineer, but that career is only offered in two universities in México, and now I am so happy because one of those two universities accepted me, but my parents won’t let me go there because the city where the university is so dangerous, there is a lot of crime and also a lot of people die daily, so I am afraid to go there but I can handle the fear but my parents are so worried about me so I can understand them if they won’t let me go there. So I have a second option, I have been thinking about study chemical engineer, that it’s a similar career, is not the same but also you can do the master’s degree in biotechnology, and this career has a lot of work opportunities, and its well paid.

I have to say that the dream job has to be about something that you like or love to do, because you can’t be happy with your job or even with your life if you don’t work in something that makes you feel great.

Imagine the world of 2030

I can imagine a lot of things in the future of this planet, but let's think how the world is going to be in 2030? Maybe this planet will be the most advanced of the technology, but also it can be the most backward of the universe, but we can't know that, so we are going to get into this beautiful land and we are going to try to take a look at the future.

We have a lot of topics to talk about it, but let's start with the economy. I think that the world will be a capitalistic place, maybe the poor people will be poorest and the rich people is going to get richest, but that's not good because I think that the world will have to be a place of equality where people want to help each other.

I hope that the scientists start new investigations about our health and the environment because we really need solutions for some problems, on the health topic we can talk about if the future people will find the cure for cancer or try to get better the things that we have, like if we can treat some disease of a baby when is not born yet. On the ecological topic we can say that we have to start with something, you can’t always be thinking that you are the only person who is making the difference, we have to work in teams, and  that is to help us and to help the future generations. We can do a lot for our planet like save electricity or use hybrid cars, recycle our trash, stop logging and plant some new threes, etc.

In the political field, in my oppinion, there will be a war, but maybe it won't be caused by oil or money, I think that it will be because of wather, food and land. Because the population of the world is going to increase, we are going to need more indispensable things.

I think that a lot of things will be differents, but we have to join and accept all that new stuff to survive.

All About Me

Hi everyone! My name is Graciela Fernandez, I'm 17 years old and i'm from Coahuila, México, but right now I'm living in Tarrytown, New York, because I'm learning english at EF international school, and it's awesome! 

I'm going to talk you about my family. My parents are a very good persons, they are the most important persons in my life, I'm so happy always because I have their support to do everything even when that thing it's hard. My dad works in his ranch, and there we have a pecan orchard, so he is working at it all the year to pick up nice pecans; I don't spend a lot of time at the day with him, but when we are together we always have a good time. My mom is a housewife and she is all the day with me and my sisters, she is always helping us with all the school stuff and we help her with the house work, i have learned a lot of useful things of her. I have 2 sisters, their names are Mariely and Eugenia, the first one is 13 years old, and the second one is 11 years old. They are studying at middle school and elementary school respectively. When I lived in México we were in ballet classes together and we used to have a really good time. I miss them so much!

I really like to spend my time in my family's ranch. I always have a lot of fun there! When we go to the ranch we ride horses, we jump in the trampoline, we ride motorcycles, we play soccer or volleyball, we swim, we eat a lot, we watch movies, and a lot of great things. Also I love the ballet, I really hated it like 5 years ago, i thought that it was boring, but then i get into a ballet class, and i really loved it so i keep trying and i did my best, and now I'm a ballet dancer. One of my favorites things to do its watch old photos and videos, because i that way I can remember a lot of people, and watch them younger.

I really want to see my family, my friends and my boyfriend. Maybe they will come to New York on december, and i really hope that because i miss them so much!

New York it's an amazing place! I have a good friends here, and I'm just staying here since a week! I hope I can learn a lot of english and know a lot of people here.
